Round up from Day 2 at the Junior Nationals

Well done to all the juniors on their performances so far, what a great experience for you all and all the best on your performances today. Some big games today. We look forward to seeing how you get on.

U11 Girls – Casey Ellery (4) lost her first games to the 2^nd seed 3-1

U13 Boys – Today Jaxon Palmer – Bensemann (15) will play the 13^th seed in the final for 13^th place.

U15 Boys – Ryan Ko (2) beat fellow Cantabrian Chris Hebberd (7) in the quarters and will play another fellow Cantabrian Liam Gale (3) in the semi’s tomorrow.  Charlie Prince (8) lost to the top seed in the quarters and plays against the 4^th seed tomorrow in the semi’s for 5^th place.  Chris Hebberd will also play in the semi’s for 5^th place tomorrow. Jack Frisken (14) lost to the 11^th seed and will play the 15^th seed tomorrow in the semi’s for 13^th place. Jethro Moran (25) lost to the 24^th seed in a 5 setter and will play the 28^th seed tomorrow in the semi’s for 25^th place.

U15 Girls – The two U15 Cantabrian’s girl’s; Petra Curd-McCullough (5) and Moriya Karati (7), both lost to higher seeds in the quarters. Both girl’s play in the semi’s today for 5^th place. Petra playing the 8^th seed and Moriya playing the 6^th seed.

U17 Boys – Paul Moran won his second round and lost in the quarters to the 5^th seed. He will play the 8^th seed today in the semi’s for 5^th place. Nathan Briggs (11) lost one and won one and is through to the semi’s for 9^th place today. Jimmy Stewart (25) lost to the 24^th seed in a five setter and will play in the semi’s for 25^th place today. Isaac Karati (23) will join Jimmy in the semi’s for 25^th place. He will play the 27^th seed.  

U17 Girls – Leonie Marshall (5) beat fellow Cantabrian Ella Knutson (12) in round two and lost the 4^th seed in the quarters. Today she will play 8^th seed in the semi’s for 5^th place. Ella beat fellow Cantabrian Jazmine Palmer Benseman (20) in the third round and today will play another Cantabrian Caitlin Millard (9) in the semi’s for 9^th place.  Caitlin also lost one and won one. Jazmine will play today in the semi’s for 13^th place.

U19 Boys – All three Cantabrians lost their second-round games. Henry Aitken (9) and Henry Moran (17) played each other in the third with Henry Aitken winning 3-0 and through to the semi’s for 9^th place today. Caelum Betteridge (13) plays fellow Cantabrian Henry Moran today in the semi’s for 13^th place.

U19 Girls – Kayla Harvey is through to the semi’s for 13^th place today.
