Great results for young Cantabrians at the Anchor AIMS GAMES

Last week, some of our juniors took part in the Anchor AIMS GAMES in Tauranga. The games are an Intermediate/Middle School Championship, with over 10,000 competitors in 21 sports.

Well done to Tom Marshall, Ryan Ko, Charlie Prince, Chris Hebberd, who all finished in the top 10 of the boy’s competition. Tom Marshall and Chris Hebberd representing Bohally Intermediate finished 4nd & 10th, Ryan Ko representing Heaton Intermediate finished 5th and Charlie Prince representing Kaikoura High School finished 7th. Tom and Chris also won Silver for Bohally Intermediate in the team’s event.  Tom is off to C Grade Nationals next week with two other of Marlborough Squash Rackets juniors - Henry and Paul Moran.

In the girl’s competition, Petra Curd-McCullough & Caitlin Millard representing Heaton Intermediate won the school teams cup and gold medal each in the team’s event along with Petra winning a bronze medal & Caitlin finishing 4th in the individual event.
