Over 100 children registered to “Give Squash a Go” in Christchurch during the July School Holidays. This was the 2nd consecutive year Burnside Squash Club had been part of the KidsFest holiday programme and they enjoyed a whopping 67 children registering to try squash at their club. The club has enjoyed a spike in junior membership with a good number of children joining the club after trying squash through 2017 KidsFest Programme, these children are now playing in the Junior Interclub combined division.
Well done to both Linwood and Christchurch Squash Clubs who also ran successful programmes during Kidsfest.
Kidfest has been running programmes since 1992, it is a well-regarded and proven platform to promote Squash and we hope more clubs will come on board in 2019 to support this initiative.
