Junior Squash

Meet Di McCoy, our Junior Development Officer  for Christchurch

I am delighted to be continuing in the role of Squash Canterbury’s Junior Development Officer again for 2019.  I am very fortunate as both a Squash Player myself, and as a parent of a junior player I feel I understand well what is needed to both support our existing players, and grow our number of players in this wonderful sport.  We are very fortunate to have great clubs in Canterbury and within our Squash region keen to develop their junior programmes.  I look forward to seeing you at the courts soon!

2019 – What a very exciting year ahead!!

Activities planned for this year include:

  • Beginner & improvers coaching sessions for Girls (13+)
  • After School coaching programmes
  • School Holiday coaching programmes
  • Kidsfest July School holiday programmes
  • Girls only Tournaments
  • Squash programs in Schools
  • Squash at the Koru games http://www.korugames.nz/
  • Junior referee mentoring programme

If you have skills and knowledge to help support any of these programmes please feel free to give me a call to discuss further.
