Where to Play

Oxford Squash Club Useful Information

Pearson Park (signposted off Bay Road/Dohrmans Road)
Overview
The club was built by fundraising from the local community in 1982, with much of the work also being carried out by local volunteers.

The club is the “remotest” geographically that participates in the Canterbury interclub competition & caters for Ladies, mens & junior players of all standards. We have 2 glass backed courts as well as kitchen & changing facilities. Casual court hire can be made through the local Challenge Service Station.

The clear crisp atmosphere poses a few problems during the colder months but doesn’t daunt the enthusiasm of the players. The popular Oxford Country Classic ½ marathon/fun run/walk is our main fundraiser for the year – this is held in September.

A number of the players have attended cooking classes at Jo Seagars cook school/café located just around the corner from the courts – this probably accounts for the sumptuous suppers that teams provide for visiting clubs!!
